Event Host Policy

Creating a hangout does not make you an employee, agent, contractor or representative of Who's Down IRL™. You host as an individual member, and you speak for yourself — not for the platform.

To host a hangout you must:

• be 18 or older with an eligible, in-good-standing account;
• have completed the verification steps currently required for hosting;
• use your real first name and a current photo of yourself.

Your hangout listing must accurately describe:

• what the activity actually is;
• where it takes place — a real, public, lawful venue;
• the date, start time and roughly how long it runs;
• how many people you expect and who it's for;
• any material cost attendees are expected to cover (tickets, class fees, entry, food minimums).

Don't bait-and-switch. Changing the venue type, the purpose or the cost after people have joined is a violation.

Hangouts happen in public places — cafes, parks, gyms, libraries, coworking spaces, markets, museums, community centers and similar. Private residences, hotel rooms and private vehicles are not permitted meeting locations.

You are responsible for following applicable laws, venue policies, capacity limits, reservation requirements, permit requirements and event rules. If a venue requires a booking for your group size, make it.

Hosts must:

• follow the Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy;
• keep the hangout platonic — never use an event as a disguised dating or sexual solicitation;
• respect attendee boundaries, including about photos, contact details, alcohol, rides and second locations;
• avoid intentionally dangerous activities or misleading risk levels;
• not discriminate unlawfully in who may attend;
• not use events for pyramid schemes, MLM recruiting or undisclosed sales pitches;
• respond appropriately to legitimate safety concerns raised by attendees.

You cannot require attendees to share personal contact information, sign anything, or move to a non-public location as a condition of attending.

Plans change — post the update in the hangout chat as early as you can so attendees aren't left waiting somewhere. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows can lead to hosting restrictions.

Who's Down IRL™ may edit or remove hangout listings, cancel hangouts, restrict or remove hosting privileges, and suspend or ban accounts that violate this policy. See Reporting, Blocking & Enforcement. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.
